Happy New Year

2007! I am a bit amazed that it's 2007. Not because I wasn't expecting it.

It's not like I thought 2006? I wonder what's next? 2007 Ahhhhh brilliant! Who'd have thought it?

Nope. I am amazed because it's 2007! 2007 people!

Think about it, when you were a kid did you ever think it would get to 2000 let alone 2007. I am of course talking to people who were born in the 70's and 80's.

Anyone remember Buck Rogers? Buck Rogers in the 21st century to give it it's full title? It's the 21st century now! Of course it was set in 2400 or something but still impressive I feel.

I would have written something yesterday but I felt like I was having a stroke. Very hard to come back to work after the break.

I hope it was less traumatic for all of you. I think we should get a couple of days to recover from new years eve not just one.

Pah, back into the fray.

Glad you are back, you give me hope.
I read alot of british blogs .......... please tell me you are not the only intellegant person over there?
A good ranting I can enjoy and appreciate ... but all everyone else seems to do is argue, wait I believe the word they like to use for it is "debate", and it's all about politics and news topics.
Is that how it is for real?

ps.. I remember buck rogers ....

Thank you. It's very nice of you to say so.

Intelligent? Are you sure you have been reading my blog? I am afraid that England is bursting at the seams with melon headed geniuses, all bumbling about and talking in latin and ancient greek with their heads pulsing like a hammered thumb.

In the good old days we didn't rant or debate we just got naked, woaded up and applied metal to meat.

Happy New year!

PS I loved Buck Rogers. I never took to tweekie though, he was up to something.

Happy 2007!

Say don't you Brits get Boxing Day or some such thing to recover after the holiday?

In the states, its back to the grind right away.

over educated does not always = intelligant, and pulsing heads .. maybe I shouldn't comment about that..I'm having a hard time seperating the image from your "good old days" refrence now.
England might not sound so bad after all.
Those were the days ....
Happy new year to you too.

Boxing day is the 26th December, it's not an automatic holiday, it all depends on who you work for. Life can truely be a bitch.

Very true, intelligence does not always relate to education. I have met PhD's who I wouldn't trust with the TV remote. I have also known people who have barely finished secondary school and yet can run rings around me.

I may be blushing now, you'd never tell under all this woad.

Ahem... none of you seems to remember Buck Rogers that well since it was actually Buck Rogers in the Twenty-FIFTH Century. Hence it being set in 2400, or thereabouts.

I may have had the odd drink it's true.

Yep 25th centuary. Kind of pisses on the point a bit but there you go. If I worried about little things like accuracy or reality then I'd never get anything done!
